Court of Appeal: Hall v R

A Judicial Review claim was sought to prevent a severely disabled man being transferred from hospital back to prison.

The Court of Appeal ultimately agreed to fast-track an appeal against his sentence which was quashed.

Reported by the BBC and The Guardian and later described as a landmark legal aid case.

Exceptional Mercy, a play based on the case, was written and developed by The Old Vic 12.
