Catherine Bond represented one of her longstanding IPP clients recently at a recall review. He had been doing very well in the community but was unfortunately recalled following his arrest for further offences, which was devastating in his particular family circumstances.

His hearing was initially listed in May 2025 following the IPP listings drive. This was an excessive wait and Catherine successfully applied for an expedited listing so his case was heard in January 2025 instead.

The Panel accepted Catherine's arguments that an AP was not necessary, and imposed a 12 month GPS tag and reduced the reconsideration period to 14 days.

On receipt of the decision, Catherine challenged this further and the Panel agreed to reduce the tag from 12 months to 4 months, and the reconsideration period to 7 days.

Her client was therefore released more than 3 months before his original hearing date.
