In August 2021, I was recalled to prison. Whilst waiting for a parole hearing, I felt that people who were helping me at the time were not listening to me. Sadly, when you're placed back into the 'prison system', the powers that be automatically assume that you have 'done wrong', as was the case with me. This became very frustrating.
I came across an advert from Ian in the 'Inside Times' informing the reader about his experience working with probation and parole panels. I thought, 'here's a guy who knows both sides of the coin'. I contacted him and immediately felt that he was listening rather than dictating.
Over the weeks leading up to the parole hearing, Ian did a lot of evidence gathering, was very supportive, communicated with probation and the parole panel chair. He rectified any issues or concerns prior to the hearing and kept me and my partner updated at all times.
I felt confident that I had the right legal advisor to help and assist me with the hearing. I also knew that Ian would do his best to get the result that I got (released).
Ian is very professional in his work. He listens and sets out his plans in a friendly manner (which is important) and speaks openly and honestly (again, which is important).
I can't thank Ian enough for the help and support that he has given me and would highly recommend him.
