Justice Select Committee Report into IPP sentences

We are experiencing a rare burst of optimism on behalf of our clients who are serving IPP sentences following publication of the excellent Justice Select Committee (JSC) Report into IPP Sentences.

Our Director, Andrew Sperling, provided oral and written submissions to the JSC in the course of their inquiry.

We are grateful to the fantastic campaigning group, UNGRIPP, for their very helpful summary of the report's recommendations.

The report will now be considered by the Lord Chancellor and Justice Secretary, Brandon Lewis MP.

A response is expected before the end of November 2022.
