Lisa Burton's representations lead to client's release to his family home

Lisa recently represented a life sentenced prisoner in his application for release. The probation service were arguing that the client should be released to an approved premises despite him having had successful periods of overnight leave at his family's accommodation.

Lisa argued that there was sufficient evidence to demonstrate that the level of risk that the client posed did not warrant residence at an approved premises.

The Parole Board agreed with Lisa's representations and directed the client's release to his family home.
